ONLINE YOGA

What style of yoga do I teach?

All yoga is based on Hatha yoga and my yoga classes are slow nourishing anatomy-based, body awareness-led practices that encourage you to listen to your body and work with it to support your health and wellbeing.

All classes are taught online via Zoom, so you can practice in the safety and comfort of your own home. Classes are run on a four weekly subscription basis, however, if you have not tried one of my classes you can try anyone of the classes for free.  I also offer 1-2-1 sessions which are great for those new to yoga or who would like to build their confidence or develop their practice further.

The focus is on learning the foundations well, understanding the functionality of the poses (asanas) and how you move in your body. Your body is totally unique to you, no one else looks, sounds like or moves like you and although we all have a skeletal, muscular and nervous system we don’t all move in the same way. It is therefore imperative that you become more aware of how you feel in your body – physically, mentally and emotionally and also how you move in your body in order to be able to improve your strength, mobility, flexibility and stability.

Working with the breath is fundamental and you will learn different techniques to help regulate the nervous system to bring about balance and equilibrium in the body, mind and spirit, which in itself facilitates healing. Yoga is a fully holistic practice that will support you in all aspects of your daily life.

I teach four times a week as follows:-

Slow Flow (1 hour)

Monday at 5.30 pm

Friday at 8.15 am

Yin Yoga (1 hour)

Wednesday at 9.30 am

Slow Stretch (45 mins)

Saturday at 9.00 am

Friday (8.15 am) and

Saturday (9 am).

Classes are suitable for all levels and abilities, even if you are a complete beginner. I provide different options and variations for different abilities and encourage you to listen to your body and what it is trying to tell you so that you prevent any injuries – yes you can still injury yourself in a yoga class if you push past what your body is capable of.
