About the Event

This is a great opportunity to align ourselves with nature as the seasons change and we head in Autumn. A time to start to take things a little slower and let go of things that we no longer need. It's a great time to get rid of things that we no longer want or need, sort out cupboards and wardrobes and create some space for new things to come in.

In Chinese medicine Autumn is associated with the Lungs (Yin), which are responsible for taking in the new and the lungs partner, as there is always a Yin and Yang is the Large Intestines (Yang), responsible for getting rid of waste. In this practice will be working with poses and movements that will open up these areas to bring about balance and harmony in the body. 

Yin Yoga is a grounding, nourishing practice where we slow down and hold supported yoga poses for longer periods of time targeting the soft tissues - tendons, ligament and fascia to soften and release deeply held tension in the body. . Yoga nidra is yogic meditation where all you have to do is lie down, rest and follow my guiding voice. It is said that 20 minutes of yoga nidra is equivalent to 2 hours of deep sleep, so a great opportunity to rest and let go

This practice is open to everyone regardless of ability or experience. Props are required, but don't worry if you don't have yoga specific ones you can use pillows, cushions, books etc, all readily available at home.
